Assistance program
PPE Sekur’s after-sales service includes maintenance, repair and spare parts management services. From the first contact with PPE, qualified and competent technicians will be at the complete service of the customer. The staff is also trained to offer training courses on the use and maintenance of the products. The interventions can be performed both at the DPI plant in Rome and on site, through the MAV equipped mobile laboratory. These interventions can be framed in a multi-year scheduled maintenance contract *.
MAV (MAINTENANCE & ASSISTANCE VEHICLE)
Customer assistance services are carried out with the help of the MAV traveling laboratory, an equipped mobile vehicle, in order to be able to carry out all the checks normally carried out at the laboratories of the Rome office. The qualified staff, with the help of the modern diagnostic tools that the MAV is equipped with, is able to check the devices, determine the estimated cost of the intervention (including any spare parts) and finally carry out the operations on site. .
The services offered are:
• Ordinary maintenance of breathing apparatus (at authorized PPE centers)
• Extraordinary maintenance of breathing apparatus (at the Rome office)
• Supply of rental equipment
• Refilling cylinders and valve maintenance
• Maintenance and calibration of BW Technologies portable gas detectors
• Ultrasound mask washing

* Informative note
Respiratory protective devices must be used by trained personnel who have received suitable training and must necessarily undergo an adequate periodic maintenance procedure. This according to what is stated in the Ministerial Decree of 2 May 01 publ. on the Official Journal of the Italian Rep. No. 209 of 8 September 01, ordinary supplement No. 226, point 7.4. and UNI 11719: 2018 “Guide to the choice, use and maintenance of respiratory protection devices, in application of UNI EN 529: 2006”. Precisely in UNI EN 529: 2006, point 12, it is indicated that maintenance operations must be carried out by competent people and in compliance with the manufacturer’s instructions. The UNI 11439 standard also provides useful information on the operation and maintenance of positive pressure compressed air open circuit self-contained breathing apparatus.
